Driving Instructor networking seat

Driving instructors teach everyone from 17-year-olds to adults coming back to the road how to drive safely and pass their test. In FindaBiz networking, each group has a single seat for a driving instructor, and only one instructor can hold it.

Why the driving instructor seat matters

A driving school depends on a steady flow of new learners, and most of them come through someone they trust: a parent, a friend, an employer. Each FindaBiz group has one Driving Instructor seat. When another member hears that a 17-year-old wants lessons, or that a new recruit needs a licence, there is only one instructor in the room to recommend.

FindaBiz Hinckley already has a Driving Instructor member. The seat is open in FindaBiz Coventry East, Kirby Muxloe, Lichfield & Tamworth, Lutterworth, Nuneaton, Southam and Leamington Spa, and Sutton Coldfield. Current members and the open groups are listed below. If you want an instructor to book or recommend, start with the members’ list.

Why the single seat matters for an instructor

Few learners pick an instructor from an advert alone. They want someone patient who turns up on time, so they ask people they know for a name. Members of a group talk to customers, friends and family all week, and when one of those conversations turns to lessons, they think of the group’s instructor. There is no second instructor at the table, so those recommendations aren’t split.

It also means members send you the right people. Over time they learn which areas you cover, whether you teach in a manual car, an automatic or both, and which pupils you suit best, and the referrals they pass on fit the way you work.

Businesses that pass work to a Driving Instructor

Several trades already in FindaBiz groups meet people who need lessons. A Care Provider often recruits home carers who have to drive between visits. A Human Resources adviser hears from employers whose new starters need a licence or more confidence on the road. Members in First Aid & Mental Health Training and in Training & Events work with organisations planning staff development, and that can include driver training. A Mortgage Adviser or Conveyancing Solicitor may be helping a client move somewhere with poor public transport, where passing a test is suddenly urgent.

Then there are the members who are parents. Plenty of referrals for an instructor start with someone mentioning that their son or daughter has just turned 17.

Work goes the other way too. The families you teach may be looking for an Accountant, a Financial Adviser or a Travel Consultant, and you’ll know which member to suggest.

How a FindaBiz group helps

Members pass each other referrals at meetings and meet one to one in between to learn about each other’s businesses. By the time someone recommends you, they know how you teach and who you’re best suited to. In a trade where trust decides who gets the call, that counts for a lot.
