Business networking in Lichfield

Meeting other Lichfield business owners

FindaBiz Lichfield meets on the third Monday of each month at The Guildhall, Lichfield, which is under a mile away for most business owners in the city. Your first visit is as a guest, and it’s free. You get an evening to see how the meeting runs and talk to the members before you decide anything.

Each FindaBiz group has one seat per trade. A group has only one accountant, one web designer, one mortgage adviser, and the referrals for that trade go to them. Further down this page are the nearest groups with their distances, profiles of local members and the seats still open nearby, so you can check whether your trade’s seat is free before you book a visit.

Trades already in the groups near Lichfield

The groups around Lichfield already have an accountant, a financial adviser, a mortgage adviser, an insurance broker, a health insurance specialist, a protection insurance specialist and someone who handles trusts, wills and lasting power of attorney. There’s also a web designer, a driving instructor, an entertainer, an event management business and a training and events business.

Several of those trades pass work to each other without much effort. A mortgage adviser’s clients often need protection insurance and, perhaps a little later, a will. People ask their accountant who they’d trust with a pension or investments. Event management and an entertainer tend to turn up at the same parties and functions. A group like this works well if your business wins work through recommendation, and especially if you sell a service people would rather hear about from someone they trust. If your trade isn’t on the list, its seat may well be open. The open seats are shown below.

What happens between the monthly meetings

Members also meet one to one between meetings in order to get to know each other’s businesses properly. It is very hard to recommend a web designer or an insurance broker you’ve only heard speak for a minute. Over a coffee you can talk properly about who your customers are and what a good enquiry looks like, and after that it’s far easier for someone to pass your name on. Most of the referrals members give each other start with conversations like that.
