How one seat per trade works

Each FindaBiz group has one seat per trade. A group has one accountant, one mortgage adviser, one web designer, and the referrals for that trade go to that person. Nobody else at the table is after the same work as you.

Between meetings, members pass each other referrals and meet one to one to find out how each other’s businesses work, which makes the referrals more accurate. A mortgage adviser who has sat down with a conveyancing solicitor knows when a buyer needs one. A care provider who understands what a wills and lasting power of attorney business does can point families towards it when the time comes. Bookkeepers and accountants are often the first to hear that a client is taking on staff and will need HR help or protection insurance.

Who networking near Lutterworth suits

Among the members of the groups around Lutterworth are an accountant, a bookkeeper, a copywriter, marketing and print businesses, two website designers, a financial adviser, a travel consultant, a driving instructor, an oven cleaner and a first aid and mental health trainer. That mix suits owners who get most of their work by recommendation, from clients who would sooner be given a name they can trust than pick one from a search.

If your trade is on that list, check the open seats further down. One group may already have someone in your trade while another nearby still has the seat free. If it isn’t on the list, the seat is probably open in every group, and the members who already deal with your kind of customer are the ones who will pass your name on.
